5th floor Ticka bar at the end of the pier
We set off this morning to go to the Dali museum which had been recommended to us, but somehow managed to end up at the IMUSEUM of contemporary glass.

It was an amazing place with galleries of glass sculptures made by people from all over the world. They varied from sculptures of Japanese women to abstract ones using different shapes to make works of art. It was displayed with different colours of lights which brought out the best of each piece. Dali museum another day!

We then went on to St Pete's pier which was very busy. The pier is one of the world's most modern. We walked to the end of the pier and had a drink in the bar on the 5th floor from which there were fantastic views of Tampa Bay. The speedboats were dashing in and out of the harbour and Ben was taking photos of the light aircraft taking off from the airport. We ate an ice cream on the way back from the pier and watched the children jumping on the water fountains as they sprung up and then dwindled. There was a large children's play park and we saw a 'bar' raft floating with a grass umbrella in the bay with people lying on it sunbathing and no doubt sipping their cocktails!

When we got back to our complex, we walked to our beach where there was a notice saying that the beach had been 'groomed' for a wedding. The wedding party were there for a practice for the occasion which is tomorrow. We will be golfing tomorrow so probably won't see anything of it.
